    Opportunity:

    Lotek is currently looking for a highly passionate individual for our Mechanical Assembly and Encapsulation group within our Production Department. We seek a highly motivated individual capable of working in a team environment.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Must work well with others, have a positive attitude, and have excellent vision
    • Ability to do mechanical assembly and basic soldering with brief instruction and minimum supervision
    • Work well under deadlines and pressures
    • Must be able to work within a dynamic team
    • Experience in operating machines, use of mechanical/electrical tools and familiarity with epoxies are a definite asset
    • Knowledge of handling epoxies such as mixing, curing, applying, storing and its basic mechanical and chemical behaviors
    • Comfortable with applying epoxy on small parts precisely and UV curing it under microscope
    • Experienced using different materials such as epoxy and gasket to seal products from water penetration through external coating, potting it in tube or in mould

    Opportunity:

    Lotek is currently looking for a highly motivated individual capable of working in a team environment within our Operations group. The Inventory Clerk manages the movement of materials incoming and outgoing from inventory by performing activities such as kitting, receiving, data entry and the distribution of materials to production and other departments. It is the responsibly of the Inventory Clerk to maintain an accurate inventory and analyze inventory when discrepancies arise to make the necessary corrections.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Willingness to learn and the ability to learn quickly
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an inventory environment
    • Must have an understanding of inventory practices, accounting concepts and exposure to ERP systems
    • Analytical and detail orientated skills
    • Past experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
    • Strong knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, (familiarity with Microsoft Nav is an asset)
    • Strong ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
    • Responsible and takes ownership when resolving issues
    • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)

    • Manufactures in-house assemblies including the following tasks: reading board layout map; identifying components needed for manufacturing; modifying raw materials to prepare for assembly; soldering components; prepping antenna, batteries, receivers, capacitors, coax cables and H antennas; assembling GPS collars, battery packs; referencing product documents for accurate procedures; desolder/disassemble; labeling products correctly; design and make jigs; build shims; program microprocessor; erase/program eproms.
    • Performs basic predetermined functional tests and records results.  Tests include: frequency test, spec test, power test, battery test, capacitor test, cable test, ASP 8 testing.
    • Complies and follows all quality control and quality assurance measures.
    • Performs other tasks as required.
