Lotek Services

At Lotek, we back our top quality equipment with top quality service. We offer a full range of services to support your purchase of Lotek receivers, transmitters, archival products and accessories, as well as their integration into comprehensive monitoring systems.

Lotek services fall into three general categories:
standard
, special and consulting.

         
Standard Services
   

Your purchase of Lotek equipment is supported at every stage by our dedicated representatives and service staff, made up of biologists, engineers and technicians. We provide manuals and telephone support to train you in the use of the equipment, and we have dedicated service staff available for all relevant inquiries regarding fisheries, wildlife, marine and avian products. In addition, we keep you informed of new developments and maintenance reminders through our customer bulletins.

All transmitters, receivers and archival tags manufactured by Lotek are warranted, for the operating life specified, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Simply stated, this means that we will repair or replace any unit found to be defective during the warranty period. All broken or defective parts not caused by accident or misuse through fault or negligence by the owner will be replaced at our expense. For Lotek receivers, this warranty extends for an unprecedented 2 years after the date of purchase.

Special Services
    Lotek also offers special design, engineering and field services. Our engineers, biologists and field technicians are available at normal commercial rates if you would like additional assistance in:
  • determining the feasibility of using wireless technology in specific applications
  • determining appropriate system specifications
  • designing and installing systems
  • providing on-site user training services
  • designing, developing, producing, and implementing specific (custom) equipment for use in fish and wildlife applications.

Customer service is such an important part of our company that we maintain an application support division dedicated to providing customized, one-on-one assistance to our clients in the field.

Staffed by experts in both biology and telemetry, members of this division travel the globe supporting our customers in their use of Lotek monitoring systems. They know the theory, and more importantly, they know how to apply it to real-world tracking situations, both terrestrial and aquatic.
The application support group also provides training and seminars on biotelemetry techniques to fish and wildlife researchers and managers in many countries, both in person and via Internet-based sessions, videos and user manuals.

Lotek also offers complete consulting services to clients seeking turnkey solutions for their biological and ecological studies. With their extensive scientific experience, our consultants are able to apply their management expertise to every stage of a research study, from initial project design all the way through to data acquisition, analysis and publication.
