Whether you require small size, enhanced longevity or high signal strength, Lotek has the transmitter for your application. SA acoustic transmitters are designed for operation in Lotek's digitally encoded telemetry systems.

Based upon proprietary coding schemes, these systems allow up to 212 unique ID codes on a single acoustic frequency, while retaining the ability to identify individual animals. This capability significantly reduces the need for additional frequencies, with a corresponding reduction in total scan time over conventional pulsed systems. Spatial and temporal resolution are enhanced accordingly.

Acoustic signals are detected using a wired hydrophone linked to an SRX-series receiver/datalogger. A wired hydrophone allows active tracking or datalogging when connected to an SRX-series receiver with a sonic up-converter. Notes on specifications

1. Acoustic frequency 65.5 or 76.8 kHz.
2. All dimensions are for internal implantation.
3. External attachment option available which slightly increases transmitter length and weight.
4. Size/weight specification tolerance typically +/- 2%, but periodic design modifications to individual models may result in greater deviation from specified. It is recommended that specifications be confirmed when placing an order.
5. Warranty life is defined as 80% of the calculated life. Calculations are based on the battery manufacturer’s specifications and tests performed at our factory. The maximum warranty life is three (3) years.
6. All tags are guaranteed to meet stated specifications upon shipment. Any Lotek tags found to be defective, with respect to material or workmanship, will be repaired or replaced.
