The Miniature MAP acoustic transmitters are the smallest addition
to the Lotek MAP Series products and are suitable
for use on smolt and similar small fish. Employing
advantages of CDMA coding, these acoustic tags are compatible with Lotek
MAP acoustic receivers configured for 200 kHz*.
The unique benefits of this system include support for tens of thousands of unique identification codes operating on a single acoustic frequency. This capability significantly reduces the need for additional frequencies, with a corresponding reduction in total scan time over conventional pulsed systems.
* MAP acoustic
receivers are factory-configured for either 76 kHz or 200 kHz
operation.
Actual number
of codes is application specific - please consult with your
Lotek representative for details.
- Small form factor for small fish / smolt applications
- CDMA coding for improved signal performance
- Compatible with Lotek MAP receivers configured for 200 kHz
- Infrared activation for simplified handling in the field

Suitable
for all types of acoustic tracking, the Miniature MAP
Series acoustic transmitters are particularly well suited
for large scale fish tracking and positioning studies, due to
their high
noise immunity and collision resistance.
These tiny acoustic tags are ideal for studies where short burst interval and fine spatial resolution is required, and/or where hundreds of fish may congregate in the study area.
