The MCFT3 series VHF radio transmitters are highly configurable with advanced activation scheduling, multiple sensor capability and programmable output power. Designed for operation in Lotek digitally encoded telemetry systems, the MCFT3 builds upon the reliability of previous microprocessor-based MCFT series, introduced in 1994, and MCFT2 series in 2010. But MCFT3 sets a new standard for wildlife telemetry by incorporating the very latest developments in radio frequency and microprocessor technologies to deliver new data and an enhanced feature set for more effective fisheries research and monitoring.

In addition to temperature and depth sensing, the MCFT3 introduces multi-level accelerometer based activity data, an advancement over MCFT2 use of binary motion sensors. The MCFT3 is available in either standard or high power output within a compact waterproof package for increased probability of detection and range.

Coincident with the introduction of MCFT3, Lotek announces the release of Lotek5, a new coding scheme with up to 728 unique IDs per frequency as well as real time sensor data transmission and archiving capability.
