Geolocator for birds, with a radio beacon option to facilitate recovery.

Light Bug features include:
- Light stalk casing protects optical fibre from damage, with a cap to stop light escaping.
- Light stalk gathers light and directs to the light sensor, protected inside the tag.
- Light stalk is stream-lined and swept-back to minimise drag.
- Geolocation possible at low light levels.
- Gold connectors for the best communication with fast USB download.
- Omni-directional cone reduces light-gathering variability.
- Battery is at lowest point in tag to help keep centre of gravity low.
- Low-profile elongated shape to keep body of tag under feathers. Only the light stalk should protrude above the feathers.
