The LAT series is the ideal data storage solution for any biologist seeking reliable long-term life-cycle-related data for fish, wildlife or avian species.

  • Seven maximum pressure scales are available: 30m, 50m, 100m, 200m, 500m, 1000m, and 2000m.
  • The LAT1410 uses two temperature sensors: the standard internal sensor and a second sensor mounted on a stalk to measure water temperature outside the body.
  • LAT1100 is built as a flatpack for external attachment.
  • The LAT1500 features a wet/dry sensor - this identifies when the tag is immersed in water.
  • Highly flexible in its programming with numerous configurable parameters, user selectable.
  • LAT1800 features 128 Mbytes of data memory allowing for an unprecedented number of samples to be collected.
  • Data ranges are configured by specifying the min. and max. limits for each sensor. Data resolution is determined by the number of bits (up to 12) assigned to each sensor. This optimizes the memory usage per sensor; selecting a lower resolution and/or narrow data range will increase the number of samples collected.  
  • Three memory management (log type) options:
    1. Telescoping Log: allows the total times series storage capacity of the tag to be evenly distributed over the entire mission
    2. Conditional Log: samples recorded (or not) based upon the condition of one or two sampled “loggables”; and sample rate below a certain depth)
    3. Basic Log: straight sampling.

N.B. These specifications are subject to change.
(1) The estimated life is based on a single deployment with a sampling interval of no less than 10 seconds. If you plan to deploy for multiple short deployments and/or sample at shorter intervals than 10 seconds, please contact your telemetry specialist.
(2) Conditional Logs are designed to conserve memory, but can use additional power in the process as the sensors must be sampled to test the crite-ria, whether the data are written to memory or not.
