Lotek Archival Tags are compact, reliable instruments for the collection and storage of time, temperature, and depth data.
The LAT series is the ideal data storage solution for any biologist seeking reliable long-term life-cycle-related data for fish, wildlife or avian species.
Available now: LAT1100, LAT1400, LAT1410 & LAT1500, LAT1800 (S,L), LAT 1900
- Five maximum pressure scales are available: 50m, 200m, 500m, 1000m, and 2000m.
- The LAT1410 uses two temperature sensors: the standard internal sensor and a second sensor mounted on a stalk to measure water temperature outside the body.
- LAT1100 is built as a flatpack for external attachment.
- Communications with the tags are highly reliable and fast (<2sec to connect) - now made through physical contacts.
- Enhanced biocompatibility from an inert coating.
- The LAT1500 features a sea water switch - this identifies when the tag is immersed in water.
- Tag design and components selection to ensure a typical two year life.
- Highly flexible in its programming with numerous configurable parameters, user selectable.
- Data ranges are configured by specifying the min. and max. limits for each sensor. Data resolution is determined by the number of bits (up to 12) assigned to each sensor. This optimizes the memory usage per sensor; selecting a lower resolution and/or narrow data range will increase the number of samples collected.
- Three memory
management (log type) options:
- Telescoping Log: allows the total times series storage capacity of the tag to be evenly distributed over the entire mission
- Conditional Log: samples recorded (or not) based upon the condition of one or two sampled “loggables”; and sample rate below a certain depth)
- Basic Log: straight sampling.
- The LAT 1900 (temperature + pressure datalogger) is only 2.1 g in air and features up to 26,000 data points and an optional radio beacon. Each data point includes temperature and pressure.
