The GPS Bug enables researchers to determine the precise areas used by their birds. Find out when each location is used; both the time of day and the time of year. Determine the effect of gas wells on lekking / nesting grouse or the effect of ship passage on foraging seabirds.

... and durable!
During testing of the GPS Bug DeepWater, one of our engineers was driving around with the tag on his car roof. Rounding a corner, the tag slid off the car and onto the road. He pulled over and walked back to retrieve the tag. To his horror, a 16-wheel truck ran over the tag before he could get there. However, the tag survived with just a few surface scratches. Subsequent depth testing to 200 metres and position fixing showed performance was as good as new.
